HOW TO SEND A SAMPLE "TROUBLE SHOOTING FILE" USING EMAIL
THIS IS A MUCH NEEDED REQUIREMENT FOR ECLAIMS TECH SUPPORT

 

When we load this file into our eCLAIMS here in the office, we have an exact copy of your eCLAIMS, the eclaims configuration settings and your patient accounting software HCFA image. We can then run this copy of your eCLAIMS with your hcfa image here in the office, for "TROUBLE SHOOTING". Along with the error report from your clearinghouse that you will fax to us, no telephone communication from you is required. You have sent all the information needed by us to fix your problem. COOL HUH!! We will call you if we need more information! Our Dime! 

 Quick reference easy as 1, 2, 3. IT'S ALWAYS THERE!! in C:\ECLAIMS folder.

1.     Print claims to a file that have the errors, or the last batch of claims that includes the claims in error. Just like you normally do if you were rebilling them. We need to see the file that comes from your patient accounting software to make sure the problem is not on your HCFA image.
If you not have any error's, then attach the SENDFILE.BCF that is already there. IT IS ALWAYS THERE!! ALWAYS SEND THIS FILE WHEN YOU NEED ECLAIMS TECH SUPPORT!! If we need this file we will have it, it is required about 95% of the time.

2.     Import the claims, same as you always do. This completes the process of creating the TROUBLE SHOOTING file. If any, any, any errors messages come up just press the "ESCAPE" key to skip through the error message's until you are back to the eCLAIMS main window. IN ANY CASE!!!! THERE IS NOW A TROUBLE SHOOTING FILE THERE TO SEND US. JUST CLOSE ECLAIMS NOW IF IT IS NOT.

3.     Attach the file "SENDFILE.BCF" to an email, the file is in your eCLAIMS folder on your C drive, C:\eCLAIMS. If you are not familiar with attaching files to an email, please ask your system administrator or someone in the office for help. Email and email attachments or Windows operations and not covered by your tech support. The email address to send it to is broyles@cableone.net

4. Fax any error report to 1(509) 758-0249. You can not attach the error report to the email it would not be HIPAA compliant.
