eCLAIMS F.A.Q.'s eCLAIMS Manual eCLAIMS Update

 Instructions for Running the eCLAIMS updates received from Broyles in an email directly from the Internet or major updates directly from this web site.

This update includes all prior updates.

 This web page will be for updates you can run directly from here. Follow the same instructions for updates that you receive from Broyles in an email specifically for you.

 

1. After clicking "Click here to start the UPDATE" or the link in an email from Broyles, the first dialog box will be the File Download- Security Warning. Click on "Run". You may have to click "OPEN" in the dialog box that opens for you. The update will begin to download to a temporary folder on your computer and will run from there. If your only option is to "SAVE" click here for instructions to save the update to your desktop. You will run the update from there.

 

2. After clicking "Run" or "OPEN" above, the update file will download to a temp folder on your hard drive. When this is finished you should see a Security Warning dialog box click "Run".

 
3. At this dialog box click "Extract". The default path "C:\eCLAIMS" to extract the update files to is listed below the "Folder to extract files to". Do not change this unless you know your eCLAIMS is not installed in the default location or you have 2 installations of eCLAIMS in different folders. Click the square box with 3 periods to navigate to the folder your eCLAIMS is installed in. Then select "Extract". You will start at the beginning and run through the entire update steps 1-7 for each installation of eCLAIMS. Click here to determine where your eCLAIMS is installed.

 
4. At this dialog box click on "All" to confirm file overwrite. The instruction graphic below is just a representation. The text you see in this box will be different.

 

5. There maybe a password required for the update. If not, move to step 6. Type in the password provided in the fax or email notifying you of this update. Use lower case letters. Then click "OK". If you do not have a current eCLAIMS Tech Support contract, one will be sent to you. It is required for updates. The instruction graphic below is just a representation.

 
6. The files will begin extracting to the eCLAIMS folder or the folder you selected. The files being extracted may be different for newer updates. The instruction graphic below is just a representation.

7. The update is complete when this dialog box appears. Click "OK" to close the dialog box. The number of files extracted will not be the same for different updates. The instruction graphic below is just a representation.
